The Board of Directors of Jonah Water Special Utility District is comprised of nine Directors.  Three Directors are elected annually, and each serves a three-year term.  Jonah’s elections are held on the second Saturday of September and are conducted at Jonah’s administrative offices.  Qualified individuals that want their name to appear on the ballot as a candidate in Jonah’s Director election must file an application for a place on the ballot not less than 62 days before the date of the election, and the earliest an application may be filed is 30 days prior to the deadline.  Jonah’s Notice of Deadline to File Applications for Place on the Ballot will be posted on Jonah’s website and at Jonah’s offices at least 30 days before the application filing window opens.  A “qualified individual” is a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age, is registered to vote in Jonah’s elections, has been a resident of the State for at least 12 continuous months and has been a resident/ customer of Jonah for at least six months immediately preceding the deadline to file an application.
